Our DPW Works for You
The Department of Public Works maintains the Village water and sewer systems, 12 miles of streets, 35,000 feet of sidewalk, over 100 trees, 3 parks, the cemetery, airport, removes brush and leaves and provides equipment and vehicle maintenance.
The Village of Lakeview makes every effort to maintain a quality of life reflective of a high level of public service, and we need your help. If you are reporting any issues you feel need our attention, please call 989-352-6322, send us a message here via our website, or find us on our Facebook page. If you require follow-up on your reported issue, please note that in your correspondence.
If you see a water main or service line break anywhere in the Village or have a sewer backup in your home, please call (989) 818-0911 immediately. This is the Department of Public Works Emergency Line, and one of our staff will assist you.
Montcalm County offers a recycling service. One of the counties recycling centers is located here in Lakeview. This center is located at 10300 North Street at our DPW buildings. This location is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. If there is not an evening officer on duty, the location will close at 3:30 when the DPW are finished with their work day. Please note that the location will be closed on Holiday's also. The items that you are able to recycle are listed in the flier on this post.
